rebuilt from the material, up
Consciously building basics with better material
Because what touches your body shouldn’t be compromised.
The Search for Something Better
We spent years searching for the right material —
not just something soft, but something that actually performs.
Because when we looked closer,
most underwear was built the same way.
Synthetic.
Plastic-based.
Designed for convenience — not for skin.
We were looking for a fabric that could do it all:
Feel weightless on the skin
Breathe through the day
Mould to every body
Move without restriction
And hold its shape over time
Nothing we tried delivered.
So we kept going.
What we found wasn’t just better.
It was a new standard.
Where It Began
For Ness, this started with frustration.
Underwear that felt soft but gave nothing back.
Flattering cuts that restricted movement.
Pieces that worked for an hour — not a full day.
And materials that never quite felt right on the body.
Nothing balanced what actually matters.
So the question became simple:
Why hasn’t this been done properly?
That question led to years of testing — fabrics, fits, finishes.
And one realisation:
The problem wasn’t the design.
It was the material.
Rebuilding the Basics
Instead of working around the problem, we rebuilt it.
From the fabric up.
Starting with one decision:
Move away from synthetics where we could.
Choose materials that feel better on skin.
We developed BareBlend™ —
our signature modal composition, designed to feel softer, move better, and last longer.
This became the foundation for everything that followed.
We Founded myk
What started as a personal search became something bigger.
Myk is built on one idea:
Basics should feel better.
Not occasionally. Every day.
Every piece is designed to support the body,
move with it,
and disappear into it.
Because when something is made properly,
you don’t think about it.
You just feel the difference.
